Currently, there are approximately 250 municipal laws in Brazil that limit the installation of new antennas for mobile service. This scenario has been a barrier to the expansion of mobile networks. Those laws are meant to regulate issues related to zoning and the alleged effects of the radiation and radio frequencies of the antennas. Despite the existence of a federal law approved in 2015, that addresses this issue by establishing new guidelines to create a consolidated plan for the installation of antennas, as long as the municipal laws remain unchanged, the risk of noncompliance with regulations and of having services of limited quality in certain areas continues to exist.

Rapsody: I’ve been playing basketball since I was about 8 years old, and that was before the WNBA was founded. In terms of Frank’s collaboration with Fox on Leaving Home, Coming Home, the photographer’s conflict is astutely summed up by an early moment in the film. Frank offers his thoughts on a subject and Fox runs out of film and asks the man to repeat what he just said, directing him like an actor. Frank fumes, saying that this is “bullshit,” and, while he doesn’t directly articulate this anxiety, one gets the feeling that Frank resists the idea of making a film in which he’s seen as an aging lion in winter. He understandably finds the idea contrived, and Fox honors Frank by including the blown take, which is probably more revealing of each collaborator’s methods and mindsets than whatever Frank was saying to begin with.

A story with the complex interplay between the intimately personal and the globally political comes across as a playful provocation worthy of the director of Hi, Mom! and Blow Out, but Domino is an auteurist-as-journeyman high-wire act that feels weirdly free-associative, as if its ligaments were all in the wrong place. In a formally impressive split-screen sequence, we glimpse a suicide bomber’s head-cam point of view on the right, and on the left news footage of a film festival’s red-carpet event where the bomber is lurking about. Presented as a live video being watched in real time on a laptop by the terrorist plotters, the sequence climaxes as a spectacle of glamor and gore, pointing to our own culpability as voyeurs in a culture of violence. Yet the story and characters surrounding this brutal moment are so devoid of richness and energy that the set piece, which suggests a directorial gesture occurring in a vacuum, doesn’t pull off the perversely incendiary effect that De Palma no doubt intended.

On the one hand, Ma acknowledges that the effects of abuse can be difficult to shake off. When Ben pleads that he was just a kid when he did a terrible thing to her, Sue Ann answers, painfully, that she was too. On the other hand, it turns its traumatized character into an unbalanced, maldeveloped crazy woman meting out disproportionate comeuppance—the sort of character whose violent death the audience should root for. You could credit the filmmakers, if you were being generous, with good intentions. But in the end, they just stigmatize victimhood, abusing Sue Ann almost as much as her former classmates.

At one point, Foreman remarks on MacCaig’s intransigent refusal to depict fractures in the anti-British forces: “shot, reverse shot, nothing in between.” It’s an impression of unity that The Image You Missed seeks to find in its correlation of Foreman and MacCaig’s lives. One virtuosic sequence shows a home video of one of Foreman’s friends emerging from a closet covered in fake blood, from which Foreman cuts to footage from a MacCaig film depicting a bloodied man emerging from a building in Belfast, which then cuts to an image on a television screen, which then becomes an image on an editing machine during a video interview with MacCaig. The sequence is essentially a reverse of one from The Patriot Game that begins on a TV screen and ends on the streets, and underscores the distance between Foreman and MacCaig, a maze of images in which father and son fail to meet each other.

Aside from the higher dropout rate, AR101-treated patients saw a higher rate of systemic allergic reaction than placebo: at 14% and 3%, respectively. Investigators also had to administer epinephrine to a larger portion of patients in the active-drug arm versus the placebo arm, though that’s excluding the food exit challenges .
